The Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department regretfully announces the passing of former chief (1983 - 1985) and lifetime member Richard J. (Rick) Wright.
The family will provide flowers for the services, in lieu of flowers please make memorials in Rick's name to the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 249, Millerton, PA 16936.
Those wishing may leave a "Candle of Remembrance" for the family in Obituaries section at the Olthof web site.

Our annual meeting took place April 14th, 2005. During this meeting, elections were held for chief officers. Our chief officers are now:

1st Assistant: Steve Noble
2nd Assistant: Robert Cogswell
3rd Assistant: Nathan Bartlett

The annual Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department Mother's Day Chicken BBQ will be taking place (you guessed it) this Mother's Day, May 8th, 2005. We begin selling half chickens and meals at noon.
